The 8 Year Rule
I have used the “8 Year Rule” as a guide for voting for a few decades now. It is a simple concept that will give you a way to assess the political landscape without worrying too much about the propaganda being spewed by the ruling class on all sides.
The 8 Year Rule simply states that once a party as been in power for 8 years, one should vote against them. Simple. Elegant. The reason to so this is the problem of corruption, which is an inevitable and natural progression pertaining to familiarity. I will illustrate what happens with this hypothetical example. Read More…
Freedom as an Absolute
The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.

The Growing Sunshine List is a Signal of Collapse
So the Sunshine List has grown by 10%. This is one of the more important items we taxpayers need to consider. The famous sunshine list of public employees making over $100,000/yr has grown by 10%. Rather than get hung up on the percentage, which is bad enough, the more important part of this story is the trendline. The best way to get a perspective on what is happening is to situate it in terms of change over time. This gives us insight into where things are going.
If we look at the sunshine list over time, the trend will be shown to be a constant upward slope. The recent announcement is merely another data point along the upward trajectory. So unless this trend is reversed, we can look forward to an increasing percentage of people making more and more money on the back of the taxpayer. The big question is, what happens when this number exceeds that of taxpayers? Never mind that public employees also pay taxes. That merely slows down the inevitable problem. Since these people don’t produce wealth and only use what the rest of us produce, their increasing numbers means that eventually they will exceed the producers of wealth.
This is an inevitable path towards economic collapse.
